What do children think about people from different economic backgrounds?​

In a 20 minute zoom call, your child will hear stories about characters who differ in financial status (i.e. rich vs. poor). After each story, your child will be asked to share what they think about the characters. Your child will be compensated $4 via a Tango gift card for this study. Household Inequality and Careers
How does witnessing labor distribution in the house influence children's future career choices?

In a 10 minute zoom call, your child will be asked to answer a series of questions about who does what chores within their own household and their thoughts about varying careers. Your child will be compensated $2 via a Tango gift card for this study.

How do children value the different kinds of work in a family context?

In a 15 minute zoom call, your child will be shown different images and told some stories about different families in which the moms and dads are doing some work. They will then answer some questions about how they think about the parents’ work. Your child will be compensated $3 via a Tango gift card for this study. Labor Inequality within Parental Structures
How does witnessing labor distribution in the house influence children's understanding of inequality?

In a 10 minute zoom call, your child will be asked to distribute a set of chores between two parents who live in a house. Then they will answer questions about who does what chores within their own household. Parents will also be asked to complete a brief survey regarding the amount of work they do within their household. Your child will be compensated $2 via a Tango gift card for this study and parents will receive an additional $4 for filling out the survey.
