In a 10 minute zoom call, your child will be asked questions about themselves and their family currently and in the future. Parents will also be asked to complete a short survey regarding their occupation. Your child will be compensated $2 via an Amazon gift card for this study.

In-person Study ONLY

How do kids' responses change after facing a disadvantage?

In a 30-40 minute in-person study, your child will be asked different scenarios and then face a disadvantage. Children will then be asked the same scenarios as they did in the beginning.

Do children feel excluded when people around them speak in a language they don't understand?

In a 15 minute zoom call, your child will be introduced to a series of short stories where characters interact in different ways. Then they will answer questions about whether they think the character's actions are ok or not ok. Your child will be compensated $3 via an Amazon gift card for this study.

Paths to Wealth

How do children think wealth is acquired?

Labor Inequality within Parental Structures

How does witnessing labor distribution in the house influence children's understanding of inequality?


 

For Ages: 4-8 yrs

In a 10 minute zoom call, your child will be asked to distribute a set of chores between two parents who live in a house. Then they will answer questions about who does what chores within their own household. Parents will also be asked to complete a brief survey regarding the amount of work they do within their household. Your child will be compensated $2 via an Amazon gift card for this study and parents will receive an additional $4 for filling out the survey.
