Preferences on Leadership

How do children's preferences change when facing a group's decision versus an authority's decision?

Labor Inequality within Parental Structures

How does witnessing labor distribution in the house influence children's understanding of inequality?


 

For Ages: 4-8 yrs

In a 10 minute zoom call, your child will be asked to distribute a set of chores between two parents who live in a house. Then they will answer questions about who does what chores within their own household. Parents will also be asked to complete a brief survey regarding the amount of work they do within their household. Your child will be compensated $2 via an Amazon gift card for this study and parents will receive an additional $4 for filling out the survey.

How do kids' responses change after facing a disadvantage?

In a 30-40 minute in-person study, your child will be asked different scenarios and then face a disadvantage. Children will then be asked the same scenarios as they did in the beginning.
