Reading with Kids

How do parents and children interact while reading together?

For Ages: 4-5 yrs

In either a 15 minute recorded zoom call or in-person appointment, you and your child will read a storybook together. The storybook will be provided to you over zoom at the start of the study. You and your child will each be compensated $3 via an Amazon gift card for this study ($6 total).

How do kids learn about patterns?

For Ages: 4-6 yrs

In either a 15 minute recorded zoom call or in-person appointment, your child will see a character creating different patterns and then asked to copy those patterns. We are interested in looking at how to best teach kids about patterns and math. Your child will be compensated $3 via an Amazon gift card for this study.

In a 20-25 minute zoom call, your child will hear stories about  characters sharing in different ways and then answer questions about these characters. Your child will be compensated $5 via an Amazon gift card for this study.

How do kids raised with or without religion think about fairness?

For Ages: 5-8 yrs

In a 15-minute zoom call, your child will be read stories about children sharing different amounts of stickers and snacks. We will ask them if these scenarios are okay or not okay. You will also fill out a brief questionnaire on religion. Your child will be compensated $3 via an Amazon gift card for this study.
